Qtrax... Download music legally?

Just came across an interesting article about a new "legal" music download site called Qtrax.

Yeah, you heard it right "legal" and "free". Glad to see that we won't need to pirate music anymore to listen to what we want. hehe.

Here's a short blurb about it:

After a decade fighting to stop illegal file-sharing, the music industry will give fans today what they have always wanted: an unlimited supply of free and legal songs.

The download client will be available tonight at midnight EST, and they claim no spyware, no Adware and No spoofing... Wonder how they make money?

It's the new age of music, enjoy while it lasts. lol

Yuwie or Facebook

I've recently been introduced to the famous Yuwie community and must say that it was entertaining for the first few days.... but gets old very quickly and today they introduced random full page ads that you have to click through. Annoying!

I was convinced to take a look at Yuwie only because I was told it was comparable to Facebook and it pays to use it. Well trust me when I say it's nowhere close to Facebook. Yuwie's main strategy is to have people use their site and make money. So, every profile you visit or "referred friend", page views are tracked and you get money according the matrix they have.

I how do you get people to view your profile or add them as a friend? easy, just post nice pictures of half naked woman and add everyone you can view on the site.... Very sad. It wont work for long and doesn't give Yuwie any credibility compared to Facebook.

Facebook is still on the top for me. Goodbye Yuwie.

Not Lost!

It's been many months since I started the Web Game Dev site and it's been a few months since i haven't had a chance to maintain or post any new content. Today decided to kick myself in the butt to actually go back and try to get back into a long lost passion.

I'm glad to say it worked out, I looked around the site and decided it was time I went back and started to maintain and post new content again. Hopefully I will be motivated enough to stick with it this time....

I tend to over estimate the growth of websites and thick they will be successful fast. I hate waiting but that's website life... it takes time.

Any one interested in Web Game Development and need information, tools, tips and help. Visit http://www.webgamedev.com for your answers.

Enjoy!
